Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership Identification: Identify, research, and prioritise non-financial services organisations. This may include automotive dealerships, automotive manufacturers, ride-sharing platforms, e-commerce automotive marketplaces, fleet management companies, automotive service providers, and other relevant industries.
- Pipeline Development & Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential non-financial services partners. Conduct initial outreach, qualification, and needs assessment.
- Relationship Building & Management: Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organisations. Act as the primary point of contact for all business development activities with these partners.
- Value Proposition Development: Articulate and tailor our auto-finance value proposition to resonate with the specific business models, challenges, and objectives of non-financial services clients.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure seamless integration and successful execution of partnerships.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within both the auto-finance and relevant non-financial services sectors.
- Performance Reporting: Track and report on key business development metrics, pipeline status, and partnership performance.
- Team Leadership: As the team grows, there is potential to build and mentor a team of business development professionals focused on non-financial services.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or B2B sales, with a strong focus on non-financial services clients.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and closing significant partnerships/deals with large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrable experience within or strong understanding of the automotive industry (dealerships, manufacturers, related services) is highly advantageous.
- Experience working in a FinTech or Technology company is highly preferred.
- Experience in auto-finance is a significant plus, but direct experience with non-financial services clients is paramount.
