Job summary

Ucoal is seeking a senior supervisor in Sumatera Selatan to lead planning, scheduling, and monitoring of hauling road maintenance for safe, efficient mining operations. You will coordinate with Mining Operations, Engineering, and contractors to keep targets and standards aligned, while supervising performance and driving cost-effective improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering, 7+ years in related supervision, and strong expertise in road maintenance

• Monitor and evaluate progress against targets and identify deviations requiring corrective action.
• Coordinate with Mining Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and contractors for effective execution.
• Identify delays, constraints, and risks and develop recovery or acceleration actions.
• Monitor road conditions to set maintenance priorities by traffic, weather, and safety.

Job Description:

Lead the planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of hauling road maintenance activities to ensure road infrastructure is maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational requirements, work targets, and established standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for hauling road maintenance based on operational priorities and road conditions.
• Determine manpower, equipment, material, and other resource requirements based on approved work plans.
• Develop, monitor, and regularly update road maintenance schedules, work targets, and progress plans.
• Monitor and evaluate actual work progress against established targets and identify deviations requiring corrective action.
• Analyze actual work data, including equipment productivity, utilization, material consumption, and work performance, as a basis for operational evaluation and improvement.
• Coordinate with Mining Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and contractors to ensure effective execution of road maintenance activities.
• Identify potential delays, operational constraints, and risks affecting work progress and develop appropriate recovery or acceleration action plans.
• Monitor road conditions and determine maintenance priorities based on traffic intensity, operational requirements, weather conditions, road performance, and safety risks.
• Ensure road maintenance activities are aligned with hauling requirements and support safe and efficient movement of mining equipment and coal hauling units.
• Supervise contractor performance and ensure execution is in accordance with work plans, specifications, quality requirements, and agreed targets.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, productivity analysis, evaluation reports, and management recommendations to support operational decision-making.
• Monitor the utilization and efficiency of equipment, manpower, and materials to optimize maintenance costs and productivity.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in hauling road maintenance methods, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all road maintenance activities comply with applicable HSE, technical, operational, and company standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with proven experience in a supervisory/management role in hauling road maintenance, mining infrastructure, civil construction, or related mining operations.
• Strong experience in hauling road maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, and progress control.
• Good understanding of mine road standards, road maintenance methods, drainage, road surface conditions, and heavy equipment utilization.
• Experienced in managing and analyzing equipment productivity, material consumption, manpower, and work progress data.
• Strong ability to develop work schedules, resource plans, targets, and recovery action plans.
• Experienced in coordinating with Mining Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong contractor management, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for operational data analysis and reporting; familiarity with planning/scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and operational planning skills.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and their application in mining infrastructure activities.
