Overview

Company Description Overlooking the scenic South China Sea, an hour away by ferry from Singapore, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon will introduce Swiss-inspired hospitality to Bintan in celebration of Mövenpick's rich culinary legacy. The resort is set to be the new beach getaway destination for all generations with standout facilities, including 420 rooms & suites, two golf courses, three lagoon swimming pools, unique restaurant concepts, a two-storey beach club, spacious event spaces. Wellness will also be an integral part of the resort experience, with a vast wellness and recreation village that will feature a gym, a spa, and Kid Club.

Job Title

The Hotel Harbor / Port Representative plays an important role in providing a good experience to guests from the beginning by creating a seamless, memorable and safe experience for all guests upon arrival at the port, during the stay and when guests depart from the hotel.

Responsibilities
  • Anticipate guest needs and exceed guest expectations.
  • Recognize and appreciate repeat guests and elite members.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to learn and grow. Have a great understanding in terms of product knowledge. Therefore, able to answer guest enquiries confidently.
  • Embrace and take pride in being a part of the Mövenpick Hotel.
  • Assist guests with the embarkation and disembarkation process. Pick up guests at the port and assist them with the check-in and baggage process.
  • Arrange guest transportation from the port to the hotel and vice versa.
  • Provide information about the hotel, facilities, and services to guests.
  • Handle problems faced by guests during the trip, such as delays or lost luggage.
  • Coordinate with the hotel to ensure that guests are well received and their needs are met.
  • Arrange for VIP guest meetings and greetings.
  • Ensure guest safety and security during the trip.
  • Ensure the smooth transfer of guest's luggage on arrival and departure within the specified timing in accordance to the operating standards.
  • Understands the local areas, surroundings and communities.
  • Respond to guest queries professionally and appropriately.
  • Write down any additional instructions for guests or information about their arrival or departure.
  • Understands the standard operating procedures pertinent to luggage/package/goods storage.
  • Constantly check what’s happening in the hotel as well as in the surrounding areas.
  • Provide guests with information about local events and sightseeing areas and make travel arrangements for guests.
  • Upsell and cross sell the hotel products.
Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma or degree in hospitality is an advantage.
