An educational content company based in Jakarta is seeking a Graphic Designer & Illustrator to create engaging visuals for a story-driven curriculum aimed at children. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of graphic design experience, strong illustration skills, and a passion for children's education and art. This role requires collaboration with educators and curriculum developers to visually bring stories to life.
At Sparks Music, we believe that art and music can transform how children learn. We are looking for a Graphic Designer & Illustrator to create visuals that bring our story-driven curriculum to life. From designing worksheets and characters to developing campaign assets, you’ll help make learning both fun and visually inspiring for children ages 3–15.
Design worksheets, activity books, and visual learning aids for Sparks Music’s adventure-based curriculum.
Create character illustrations, icons, and story elements that align with the program’s story-driven world.
Develop creative assets for campaigns: posters, flyers, social media visuals, website graphics, and ads.
Ensure brand consistency across all Sparks Music visual touchpoints.
Produce original illustrations for mascots, characters, and narrative worlds.
Collaborate with curriculum writers and narrative designers to visually tell stories.
Work closely with curriculum developers, teachers, and the marketing team to align visuals with pedagogy and brand.
Coordinate with external vendors (printers, agencies) when needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Communication, or related field.
4+ years of experience in graphic design and/or illustration (experience in children’s content or education is a strong plus).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Strong illustration ability (digital and/or hand-drawn).
Knowledge of motion/animation tools (After Effects, Canva, or similar) is a plus.
Passionate about children’s education, art, and music.
A creative thinker with the ability to translate abstract curriculum ideas into engaging visuals.
Detail-oriented with strong sense of color, typography, and storytelling.
Collaborative, open to feedback, and able to deliver on deadlines.
