Job description

Adaro MetCoal Companies (AMC) refers to a group of seven companies holding Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) for seven concession areas in Central and East Kalimantan provinces that were entirely acquired by the Adaro Group from BHP Billiton in October 2016. These CCoWs currently constitute 1.27 billion tonnes of premium quality metallurgical coal resources with ultra-low ash and phosphorus content. The Maruwai Coal Basin, where the seven CCoWs are located, contains the largest relatively undeveloped metallurgical coal deposit in the world.While developing these valuable resources, the Adaro Group continues to work with local communities and stakeholders to integrate sustainable environmental and community development programs into the development plans.

PT Maruwai Coal is looking for some qualified personnel to be based at our Site Office as :

Geologist

Description:

  • Uphold the Company Standard and Values.
  • Safely deliver the Operations performance requirements.
  • Effectively manage the site stakeholders (contractors and sub-contractors) to ensure effective, safe, and efficient work.
  • Conduct geological mapping and coal sampling activities to enhance understanding of geological control on coal and waste delineation and input to the mine planning designs.
  • Monitor daily coal inventory and daily coal movement tally database for material tracking to predict delivery stock to the Port and ROM stockpiles.
  • Conduct regular coal sampling at pit, and prepare and monitor coal line, batter blocks, high wall, and coal quality evaluation.
  • Update mining reserve every month.
    Update the geological model every 6 months using data infill drilling or pit mapping and coal sampling to increase mining accuracy between model and actual.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation process to reconcile planned against actual production data and provide input and feedback in planning meetings in both mining and processing sections.
  • Update estimation of coal resource every year.
    Ensure training and competency matrix for the Mining & Engineering Department is in place and implemented.
  • Manage and ensure the Operational Safety (Keselamatan Operasi/KO) management of the technical services activities and its support are implemented.
  • Be responsible to the Technical Mine Manager (Kepala Teknik Tambang) for the safety of all subordinate workers.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in mining industry as a Pit Geologist or Geological Engineer minimal 5 years.
