General Manager, Renewable Energy

As the General Manager, Renewable Energy at PT Alfa Service Solusi, a Leader Energy Group Berhad company, your key role involves leading renewable energy initiatives in our Jakarta office, ensuring strategic and operational oversight for clean energy projects.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, secure business permits, and maintain occupational health and safety governance. Additionally, you will serve as the primary liaison with government bodies, PLN, and clients to resolve issues and safeguard the company's legal standing. Your responsibilities also include coordinating cross-functional administrative activities to align with organizational standards, driving business sustainability through stakeholder engagement and project execution.

What you'll be doing

1. Leading and managing renewable energy projects to ensure successful implementation and operation delivered on time and within budget.
2. Developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth in operations, safety, and environmental performance in relation to the renewable energy markets.
3. Overseeing the operations and maintenance of renewable energy assets to maximize efficiency and performance.
4. Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, and developing proposals to expand the company's portfolio.
5. Liaising with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and clients.
7. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the progress and performance of renewable energy initiatives.
8. Monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for innovation and expansion in renewable energy solutions.
9. Developing and implementing robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
10. Providing leadership to a team while fostering a culture of collaboration and sustainability.

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the Solar Industry and any distribution industry, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
3. Proven experience in managing renewable energy projects or similar roles within the energy sector, particularly in operation and maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
4. Strong technical expertise in solar or any other renewable energy technologies like wind or hydropower will be an added advantage.
5. Requires a strong understanding of financial principles and experience in coordinating local finance-related administration, including payment processing, banking relationships, and expense tracking.
6. Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
7. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Knowledge of local regulations and policies related to renewable energy in Indonesia.
9. Extensive knowledge and experience in renewable energy plant operation and maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
10. Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring of renewable energy assets.
11. Ability to analyze operational data to optimize plant performance and minimize downtime.
