POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Client is seeking a General Manager for a leading boutique resort brand in Asia that manages resorts in remote locations far from the hustle and bustle of city life. Their vision is to help people and places flourish through restorative hospitality. They invite guests to disconnect from the busyness of their life to connect with what is important. The General Manager is overall responsible for the operation of the resort and will develop leadership teams and departments to ensure our vision, mission, goals, and values are being fulfilled.

The ideal candidate will seek to create holistic impact in the communities that they do business in that touches four key areas:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for staff and guests.
  • Develop and mentor trustworthy leaders and staff.
  • Enhance resort operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Optimize operational efficiency across Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Facilities, and F&B.
  • Empower and monitor team performance, taking corrective action when needed.
  • Manage budgets and metrics to meet operational goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to maximize commercial opportunities.
  • Oversee on-site departments and coordinate with management as needed.
  • Recommend annual CAPEX investments by quarter deadline.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with other property managers.
  • Lead cross-property projects supporting brand growth.
  • Develop holistic transformational goals in collaboration with leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s in a relevant field required.
  • Experience: 10+ years experience in Operational Management of Boutique Resorts or Major Resorts.
  • Skills:
    • Heart of Hospitality and Service.
    • Action Oriented – Commercial Sense.
    • Experience working in a cross-cultural team setting and proven resiliency.
    • Strategic Thinker and Team Player.
    • Able to develop operational systems and processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.

Languages: Fluent in English and willing to learn or already know the Indonesian language.
