PT. Sukuntex located in Kudus, Central Java, as we are looking for a dynamic, results-driven General Manager Operations to join our growing team and take ownership of our strategy, execution, and performance. To lead and manage all aspects of textile manufacturing operations (spinning and weaving), ensuring the achievement of production targets, yarn and fabric quality, cost-efficiency, optimal resource utilization, and compliance with industry standards and applicable regulations, in order to support Sukun Textile’s competitiveness and business growth in both domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Lead and oversee all spinning and weaving operations from raw material intake to greige fabric output.
Manage all production stages: spinning (blow room, carding, combing, drawing, roving, ring spinning, winding) and weaving (warping, sizing, weaving, inspection).
Ensure production runs efficiently and meets daily, weekly, and monthly volume targets.
Maximize yarn (tons/day) and fabric (meters/day) output by optimizing machine performance and operational hours.
Reduce downtime through improved SOPs, real-time monitoring, and operator skill development.
Set and monitor production efficiency targets and implement corrective actions for inefficiencies
Lead, guide, and develop all Production Heads (Spinning & Weaving), Shift Supervisors, and Operators
Build a KPI-driven work culture focusing on production, quality, attendance, and discipline.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Implement quality standards and ensure compliance with safety and factory certifications.
Cost Management
Monitor budgets, analyze costs, and optimize resource usage.
Analyze production costs per unit (cost/kg yarn, cost/meter fabric) to ensure competitiveness.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work with planning, procurement, and maintenance teams.
Reporting to Directors
Present performance reports and recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university or equivalent; MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus;
Minimum 15 years of experience in textile manufacturing industry, with at least 8 years in senior managerial positions in Spinning, Weaving and Finishing operations;
Familiar with export-oriented operations;
Willing to be placed in Kudus, Central Java
1. A deep understanding of the entire spinning process (blow room, carding, combing, drawing, roving, ring spinning, winding) and weaving process (warping, sizing, weaving, inspection).
2. Understanding ERP systems and production planning
3. Strong operational leadership: able to lead cross-functional teams (Production, Maintenance, QC, PPIC)
4. Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and verbal, including preparing management reports and presentations to the Board
5.Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma (preferred)
