Job summary

Merdeka Copper Gold is seeking a General Manager for the Heavy Equipment Rental Business Unit in Indonesia. The role provides strategic leadership, P&L accountability, and oversight of maintenance, safety, and multi-site operations to maximize asset performance and profitability.

The position requires 15+ years in mining/sectors with 5+ years in senior leadership, and a track record of managing large contracts and optimizing CAPEX while ensuring SMKP safety standards across remote mine sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mining Engineering or Business Administration; MBA advantageous.
• At least 15 years in mining/heavy equipment sectors, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (GM or Operations Director).
• Experience managing large-scale equipment rental contracts based on hourly rates, BCM/Ton, or dry/wet hire models.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute annual business plan and budget to meet revenue, profit, and growth targets.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage SLAs with mining clients to secure favorable terms.
• Oversee maintenance programs across the fleet to achieve target PA/UA.
• Oversee asset lifecycle from procurement to end-of-life disposal to optimize capex.
• Deploy and schedule heavy equipment and operators across remote sites to meet production targets.
