Job description

Our client is a well established hospitality group. The group currently manages several hotels and golf courses in Indonesia and continues to expand.

Our client is seeking to appoint a General Manager to take charge of 1 of their golf courses. (18-hole)

For this position, both Expats and Indonesian Nationals are being considered.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
  1. Oversee daily operations of the golf course, clubhouse, and facilities
  2. Ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction
  3. Manage the annual budget and control costs
  4. Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth
  5. Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain members
  6. Plan and organize events and tournaments
  7. Work closely with the superintendent to maintain the golf course
  8. Ensure safety compliance and conduct risk assessments
  9. Contribute to long-term strategic planning
  10. Collaborate with the Board to align operations with club goals
Profile
  1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field
  2. Candidate should currently be in similar capacity
  3. Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the golf industry
  4. General knowledge of Hospitality business culture, management structure, familiarity with major Golf brands
  5. Thorough knowledge of Golf's operating policies & standards
  6. Project management skills
  7. Strong network for business intelligence
  8. The position requires someone who thinks “like an entrepreneur”
  9. Strong financial skills with experience in budgeting and financial reporting
  10. Attention to details and guest satisfaction enhancements
  11. Strong influencing skills; persuasive, able to win support and engagement of others
  12. Flexible, adaptable, able to think creatively as plans evolve and events unfold
  13. Proven leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  14. Knowledge of golf operations, maintenance, and relevant regulations
  15. Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in golf club management
  16. Clear strategic thinking and planning
  17. Fluent in English both written and spoken
  18. Computer literate
  19. Dynamic, energetic, hands-on, motivated, innovative
