A leading consulting firm in Jakarta Selatan is seeking a General Manager for their Activation Event Business Unit. The successful candidate will manage and grow the activation services while driving business development efforts to secure clients across Indonesia. They must possess strong event management skills and a background in B2B sales. This role offers significant growth potential in a dynamic environment.
Activation services (provision of contingent/outsourced manpower such as Brand Ambassadors, Events and Promotional Staffing alongside marketing/events offerings and support)
Kickstart/launch, run and manage, and grow the Activation services business unit in Indonesia to get into revenue fast and drive growth and profitability
Drive and run business development activities within individual and within the team to secure new clients in Indonesia and collaborate with regional offices across the region
Manage, grow and drive to optimise the profitability of the Activation Services business unit in Indonesia under your care/portfolio
Build, identify, groom and develop successor(s) for leadership transition for the operations of Indonesia under your care for the purpose of possible expansion/transition to Portfolio 2
Co-Work and be involved with Head of Tech to improvise and enhance a more robust internal ERP system that is scalable for use for evolving Indonesia market
Co-Work with Human Resource, Operations and other departments to ensure smooth operations of the Indonesia business under your care
To work together within the management team to foster a good, healthy and positive team’s dynamics in Indonesia and the region
Co-work and be involved to drive regional clientele and deepen regional clients’ relationship towards a preferred vendor, master or exclusive vendor or etc
Monitor and analyse market trends, business opportunities for growth either in an organic or acquisition mode
Backup Managing Director / Group CEO as and when needed/assigned to
Any special/strategic projects as and when required
Requirements:
Preferably a degree holder with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Experience in doing B2B Business Development/Sales (sourcing, pitching, acquiring clients) - if possible in event industry
Experience in creating and delivering formal presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to clients. A strong network and reputation are highly preferred.
Strong event management skill, pro-active , creative and result oriented with the ability to work under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills and able to lead, motivate the entire team in enhancing their performance.
Organized, efficient and able to manage stakeholders effectively
