GEHO Technical Field Advisor – Weir Minerals

Jakarta, Indonesia – Onsite

The Technical Field Advisor in Indonesia will travel to various mine sites to provide hands-on technical support, including maintenance of GEHO pumps and related equipment. The role also involves managing on-site stock, reporting equipment and inventory status, and building strong customer relationships through technical expertise. A key focus is supporting aftermarket business and ensuring operational reliability at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational: Perform maintenance on GEHO pumps and associated equipment at customer sites and provide detailed reports of activities conducted.
  • Operational: Maintain flexibility with working hours based on customer requirements.
  • People: Collaborate with various internal stakeholders across the National and Global business.
  • People: Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Compliance & Accreditation: Comply with Weir and customer policies and procedures.
  • Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain accreditation for required licenses to perform the role.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors and support a world-class safety culture.
Requirements
  • Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience as a fitter/mechanic. Prior experience in maintaining mining equipment is an advantage.
  • Languages: Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to interpret technical standards and produce detailed reports. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP/MRP experience (e.g., SAP) is desirable.
  • Physical & Work Environment: Willingness to work at remote mine sites for extended periods (up to 3 weeks), including 12-hour shifts in hot, humid, and dusty conditions. Manual handling and use of heavy tools required.
  • Certifications: Relevant technical certifications from previous roles are a plus.
