Job summary

PT Pahlawan Gunung Jaya is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain garment production equipment. You will troubleshoot complex machinery, replace worn parts, and ensure safety during all maintenance work.

The role also involves training staff and keeping maintenance records. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in mechanical engineering with at least five years of garment industry experience and proven leadership of a mechanic team.

Qualifications

• Diploma degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanic, preferably in a garment manufacturing industry.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting garment production equipment.
• Experience handling mechanic team.
• Strong knowledge and skill in maintenance and repair of garment production equipment including sewing machine, band knife, bonding, moulding, auto cutter, pad print, press machine.

Responsibilities

• Inspect garment equipment to identify malfunctions and needed adjustments or repairs.
• Perform regular maintenance on garment equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems or breakdowns.
• Replace or repair defective parts of the equipment.
• Test machinery after repairs to ensure proper function.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery or performing repairs.
• Maintain records of machine maintenance and repairs.
• Train other staff on correct usage and basic maintenance of garment equipment.
• Keep up with advancements in garment machinery technology and incorporate them when beneficial.
• Order parts and supplies for machinery repair and maintenance.
