A leading international furniture company is looking for a Supervisor Quality Control based in Jakarta. The role involves overseeing quality checks on various materials, ensuring compliance with specifications, managing the QC team, and conducting reports. Job description

International/export furniture company need a Supervisor Quality Control.

Doing quality control on Wooden items furniture, aluminum material, natural material and others material.

To assure that order has been produced and is produced as required specification

Eye attention on every detail: beauty & fineness, neatness weaving and joints, cleanliness, material, color, size

To make report of quality-checking result

To make conclusion what preventive acts need to do for next production

To communicate with production to catch requested shipment schedule

Propose additions, transfer, or replacements of QC team members

Conduct basic technical training for new QC staff

Assign, guide, supervise, and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the QC team

Review non-conformance reports, AQL sheets, and replacement inspection reports before submission to the QC Manager or QA Manager

Ensure SOPs for QC are implemented properly and escalate issues requiring review to the QC Manager

Skills:

Good understanding of the characteristics and grading of various woods: Teak, Hardwood (Meranti/Eucalyptus), Mahogany, and Rubberwood

Able to read technical drawings

Proficient in identifying defects in materials and production processes (wood processing, machining, fitting, assembly, servicing & sanding, finishing, cushions, synthetic weaving, up to final pre-packing inspection)

Able to determine, use, and create work aids/tools

Well-versed in AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) procedures

Experienced in using Microsoft Excel

Basic English proficiency (elementary/A2 level)

Familiarity with QC 7 Tools is an added advantage

Requirement:

Minimum D3 from PIKA or at least completed up to the 5th semester in Industrial Engineering

Smart, logical thinking and problem solving

Team player and / or personal capability to work without any supervision

Capability to work under tight deadline

Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role and industry

Basic English proficiency (elementary/A2 level)

Good attitude, honest, loyal, and communication skills

Physically and mentally healthy
