Functional Analyst (Information Technology)
The Oracle Functional Analyst is responsible for providing day-to-day Oracle Functional support with quality solutions to Finance and Accounting users. The role ensures the successful delivery of Oracle Finance Process deliverables to internal users on Oracle engagements, including issue management and resolution, change request design, implementation, hands-on configuration, testing, setup, and/or upgrading of existing applications. The analyst will also be involved in the continuous improvement and enhancement of the Oracle EBS system.
Job Scope:
- Involved in change requests and project implementations of Oracle EBS R12, especially on customization and daily operational support
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle EBS Finance and Procurement modules
- Leverage and utilize standard Oracle EBS functionality by identifying product gaps, mapping, and improving existing business flows and requirements
- Perform analysis, design, propose recommendations, build, and train stakeholders
- Possess system knowledge and an intermediate understanding of programming logic to liaise with engineering teams
- Act as a bridge between onsite users and offshore IT regarding Oracle issues, bugs, change requests, patches, data fixes, and business process re-engineering
- Prepare IT audit compliance documents such as Change Request Forms (CRF), BR100 setup documents, Functional and Design Specifications, System Integration Test (SIT), and User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases; assist users during UAT
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end finance closing activities
- Provide on-call support during business hours and outside of business hours
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting or implementing Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations and hands-on configuration experience in multiple Finance/Procurement modules
- Strong SQL skills with complex queries
- Knowledge of EBS DBMS structure, PL/SQL, API, personalization concepts, workflows; knowledge of AWS concepts is an advantage
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders and lead design workshops and testing sessions with large user groups
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills
