FTTX OSP Planning & Design Engineer

Job summary

Triple-E is seeking a professional to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of FTTX projects, ensuring high-quality services for our customers.

You will conduct OSP surveys, select models, prepare survey reports and BOM/BOQ, review initial OSP designs, and align route design outputs with standards.

Collaborating with engineering cost teams, vendors, and clients, you will manage risks, optimize designs, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance throughout deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly OSP SND (Survey, Network, and Design) experience.
• Experienced in managing Design & Planning requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OSP surveys, select OSP models, produce survey reports, create survey sketches, and prepare OSP BOM (Bill of Materials) and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Participate in the review of OSP initial reports, OSP engineering solutions, and OSP technical solutions.
• Assist the Engineering cost manager in analyzing OSP costs, assessing OSP engineering risks, and formulating risk handling strategies.
• Formulate route/line design templates and align/standardize route design outputs and requirements.
• Thoroughly understand the topology as well as the OSP planning and design standards for backbone and FTTX networks.
• Conduct technical consultations and clarifications with customers and partners regarding design input/output.
• Make design changes or optimizations during the OSP implementation phase.
• Review ABD (As-Built Design) documents and BOQ following redline recap updates, and lead/conduct Design Review Meetings with clients.
• Develop comprehensive project plans for FTTX deployment, including timeline, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the timely availability of materials and resources for the smooth execution of projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and workplace safety protocols in project execution and FTTX service delivery.
• Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) related to FTTX project progress, service quality, and customer satisfaction
