Octomate is a Singapore-based HR technology company specializing in workforce management solutions tailored for industries with a significant number of deskless workers, such as logistics, manufacturing, and staffing. Established in 2019, Octomate offers a cloud-based platform that enables employees to manage work-related transactions—including submitting claims, leave applications, and timesheets—directly from their mobile devices.

In October 2022, Octomate became a subsidiary of HRnetGroup, a prominent recruitment and staffing firm in Asia. Building on this partnership, HRnetGroup launched Octomate Staffing Pte. Ltd. in December 2023. This venture integrates Octomate's technological expertise with HRnetGroup's recruitment experience to create an app-based platform that streamlines the hiring process. The platform facilitates job postings, candidate applications, onboarding, timesheet management, and payroll processing, aiming to transform traditional recruitment into a more efficient, asset-light, and digitally driven model.

Role

Octomate is currently looking to hire a Contract for Service Front End Developer to join the team in Jakarta's office.

Responsibilities

1. Writing clean, scalable & efficient code with responsive interfaces. Highly experienced and familiar with Angular.
2. Integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
3. Optimizing the performance of applications for full-scale production deployments.
4. Providing code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.
5. Participating in code reviews.
6. Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
7. Practice and inculcate the 6 core values.
8. Any other special projects and/or administrative duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor/MD/Chairman.

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in front-end development.
3. Strong experience with Angular.
4. Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
6. Working knowledge of modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.).
