Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a growing Fashion Retail company to hire an FP&A Manager. This role will be instrumental in driving financial planning, business performance management, and strategic decision-making while supporting the company's continued growth and profitability.
Position Overview
The FP&A Manager will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization. Working closely with the CFO and key business stakeholders, this position will provide actionable financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and ensure effective financial management of sales, inventory, profitability, and working capital.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes to support business objectives and long-term growth strategies.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, sales results, and key business metrics, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Partner closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, investment decisions, and business planning activities.
- Monitor inventory performance, working capital utilization, and product profitability to support efficient inventory management and commercial decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver management reports, dashboards, and financial presentations for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Analyze revenue drivers, gross margin performance, operational expenses, and profitability metrics to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews by providing meaningful analysis and performance insights.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, reporting accuracy, and business performance measurement.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controlling, Corporate Finance, or Financial Analysis roles.
- Prior experience within the Retail, Fashion Retail, Consumer Goods, or related industries is highly preferred.
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to analyze complex financial and operational data.
- Solid understanding of retail business dynamics, including sales performance, inventory management, gross margin optimization, and product profitability.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business performance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis platforms.
Leadership & Business Partnering Skills
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to convey financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven capability to work collaboratively across Finance, Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly when supporting strategic business decisions.
