Job summary

Kate Spade New York in Surabaya, Indonesia, is seeking a Quality Auditor to monitor manufacturing processes, perform root cause analysis with service providers, and ensure finished goods meet our quality standards before shipment.

The successful candidate will inspect samples, review reports, approve packing instructions, conduct FG audits, and train factory QC staff, leveraging experience in footwear quality management and knowledge of AQL.

Qualifications

• Experience in footwear quality management.
• University education is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English as well as local Asian languages are essential.
• Knowledge of AQL and quality control systems are essential.
• Practical and technical knowledge of footwear industry is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-line inspection and root cause analysis with SP; report to line-manager.
• Review samples, ES & CS reports and QLA; stress key points to SP.
• Review pre-production trials and hold pre-production meetings with SP.
• Approve Packing Instruction for all new styles and updated PI for flat packing.
• Conduct FG audits based on FG audit parameters.
• Follow up weak areas from walkthrough reports and push SP to improve.
• Conduct IQC audits of factory IQC process.
• Train factory QC and certify them as needed for production volume.
• Follow up root cause analyses and action plans for returned defective shoes.
