Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

PD

• Liaise with HQ in Design and Product Development as well as vendors and suppliers, to ensure timely process from product development into bulk production.
• Work closely with cross function team, work out new solutions to support product design, costing, margin, quality as well as OTD.
• Ensure all prototypes, salesman samples etc. are delivered on time, meeting margin expectations.
• Maintain related system and data management.
• Collaborate, develop good working relationship and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners (Factory Developers, Engineering, and Production) to obtain necessary information to resolve issues as necessary and to enable joint problem solving to achieve better products.
• Seek out opportunities on latest footwear trends and manufacturing processes and techniques.
• All development and commercialization projects are brought through to bulk production on time.
• New products are tested to ensure that they meet brand standards for fit and product integrity.
• New products are designed in such a way that they can be manufactured to consistently high-quality standards.
• Working closely with APPD manager to solve all the development issues during process to prevent all the potential risk with the necessary skills and experience to develop and produce the product in a professional way.

Commercialization

• To conduct commercialization and production trial to ensure the SOP is to be well implemented. To provide guidance for improvements in personal skills and technical procedures during process.
• To oversee full size grading of all new production shoes to achieve model & Extreme fit approval and confirm the technical execution against specifications and standard.
• Ensure commercialization procedures are executed according to the schedule of commercialization timelines without compromise to product quality to achieve the first time right.
• Co-operates with factory and QC team in conducting the production trial in a timely manner; Works closely with factory and the production team in resolving any potential problems in advance.
• Ensure all product transfer packages requests are thoroughly checked for all necessary information required for transfer (dual-sourced, 100% transfer ……) Ensure that dual –sourced products match original specification and keep our product in consistent and quality integrity.
• Support the comm. Manager in identifying potential problems in the commercialization process and offers appropriate solutions and ensuring product is commercialized successfully to Ariat standard and can be made in bulk production on time to meet the commercial needs of business.

Requirements/Experience:

• College above, mechanism or industry major preferred
• At least 10 years working experience in footwear industry for production and commercialization, experience in western boots/work boots and Good Year welted construction preferred.
• Good communication of English, MS.
• Solid knowledge of footwear product development process.
• Sense of costing and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good teamwork, problem solving and proactive communication.
