British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a FMC Trade Analytics Officer in Jakarta

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Compile, validate and distribute the FMC weekly performance tracker (volume, value, coverage, efficiency) for all conventional cigarette brands by balancing source data (in-market sales, accounts offtake, industry and competitors report) and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Continuously optimize data ingestion and processing workflows by building and maintaining ETL processes using Excel, Power Pivot, VBA/macros
  • Prepare and structure presentation decks with up-to-date charts and trends for weekly ad-hoc reviews including a value-adding narrative structure on highlights and key takeaways
  • Help define and monitor FMC launch and performance KPIs in collaboration with commercial planning and brand teams by delivering ad-hoc analyses (e.g., outlet-level diagnostics, promotional uplift measurement) as needed.
  • Provide cross-functional support by acting as a “data champion” within Sales, Account Management and Brand Deployment, providing technical support on reporting platforms

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree (any subject area); related fields a plus. Strong Excel (Power Pivot, pivot tables, VBA/macros) and Power BI experience. Familiarity with SQL, Python, R and/or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with familiarity in trade data. Having tobacco/FMCG experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous with a knack for accuracy in slide preparation
  • Excellent communication and storytelling (narration) skills; able to translate data trends into clear narrative elements with action plans/strategies.
  • Proactive, collaborative and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
