Our client is a leading energy company that is progressing one of its key projects, the oil and gas development, currently in the Pre-FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) stage. They are committed to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions.

Job Description

As the Floating Infrastructure Senior Marine System Engineer, you will be a critical part of the team driving the project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure Contractor designs and commissions marine systems per project requirements, Class rules, and marine regulations.
  • Review marine system specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and deliverables.
  • Support procurement processes, technical evaluations, and vendor activities, including design reviews and factory tests.
  • Lead marine systems commissioning and ensure seamless hull/turret integration.
  • Monitor hull engineering, procurement, and commissioning progress; recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in technical reviews (e.g., 3D Model, HAZOP, HAZID) and weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensure safe and compliant construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up of marine systems.
  • Develop engineering reports and support risk mitigation, issue resolution, and change request reviews.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in marine system engineering, with exposure to floating infrastructure projects (FPSO, FSRU, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Pre-FEED and FEED processes in the oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with international marine standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on safety and quality.
