Job summary

PT Alpha Magsaysay in Indonesia is seeking a Fitter Hotel to overhaul, repair, and maintain hotel machinery and equipment, ensuring cost-efficient work that aligns with safety standards. The role reports to the Hotel Service engineer within the Technical Department and is a fixed-term contract.

The successful candidate will have at least 12 months of hands-on experience with hotel or hospitality machinery, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy in maintenance records.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months experience in overhauling, repairing and maintaining hotel/domestic machinery and equipment.
• Experience maintaining deck equipment and related systems.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair and maintain hotel machinery and equipment in a cost-efficient way.
• Maintain and overhaul deck equipment as directed by the reporting officer; ensure safety standards.
• Ensure tools are stored properly and maintenance areas are clean and organized.
• Coordinate with the Senior Technical Storekeeper to keep spare parts stocks on board.
• Provide accurate work history and parts usage data for input into Amos.

Description

The Fitter Hotel is responsible for effectively overhauling, repairing, and maintaining assigned hotel machinery and equipment in a cost-efficient manner that is in compliance with Company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Always actions hotel defect chits in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Effectively and efficiently maintains and overhauls all deck equipment as directed by the reporting officer.
• Maintains strict adherence to safety, cleanliness, and tidiness when performing equipment maintenance, paying special attention to ensure that all maintenance-related tools are used and stored properly.
• Works with the reporting officer and the Senior Technical Storekeeper to ensure sufficient stocks of spare parts are maintained on board at all times.
• Promptly provides accurate work history and parts-consumed data for input into Amos.

Experience Requirements

Sucessful candidates will have at least 12 months work experience in overhauling, repairing, and maintaining domestic/hotel/hospitality industry machinery and equipment.
