Job summary

Cermati, a fintech startup in Indonesia, seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional to execute audit projects across development, fieldwork, reporting, and action plans. You will refine methodologies, work with multiple stakeholders, and support ISO 27001:2022 implementation while coordinating with regulators and external auditors.

Strong Indonesian regulatory knowledge and on-site travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Law, or other relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, field audit, operational risk, or fraud/misconduct investigation.
• Experience in fintech, banking, or consumer finance sectors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of branch-level and head office operations, including KYC, onboarding, credit applications, and collections.
• High attention to detail and investigative skills with ability to analyze data to identify anomalies.
• Willingness to work independently in the field, including travel to remote branches.
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
• Proven integrity, accountability, and professional skepticism.
• Understanding of Indonesian regulations for fintech and financial institutions.
• Proficiency with data validation tools or mobile-based audit platforms is an advantage.
• Fluency in Indonesian; English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute audit projects effectively and efficiently throughout the audit cycle stages, including audit development, fieldwork, reporting, and monitoring action plans.
• Contribute to updating and refining internal audit methodologies.
• Collaborate with various business units and stakeholders to improve compliance and implement system or process improvements.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to relevant work units.
• Manage the preparation process for ISO 27001:2022 implementation at CFG and ensure execution with minimal findings.
• Coordinate with external auditors from regulators, vendors, and consultants.
