An established industry player is seeking a Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager to provide strategic financial leadership in Jakarta. This role involves collaborating closely with senior management to ensure alignment on financial strategy and compliance with local and international regulations. The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while managing a team of finance professionals. Reports directly to the Country CEO in Indonesia, with functional reporting to the Group CFO at Global HQ in Singapore.
This position will work closely with the Group CFO and local CEO to ensure alignment on financial strategy, planning, and execution.
Provides strategic financial leadership to support business goals, while ensuring full compliance with relevant local and international regulations and Group-level reporting requirements.
Oversees the Finance and Compliance teams, ensuring efficient operations across:
Manages and coordinates implementation of regional integration projects, financial systems, and policy updates, ensuring timely reporting to HQ and internal stakeholders.
Offers commercial, financial, and strategic insight to both local and global senior management to support business decision-making.
Serves as a key liaison with stakeholders, including external auditors, tax authorities, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Fosters a culture of excellence by supervising, coaching, and developing finance staff.
Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in finance roles, with a proven track record in MNCs (Multinational Companies).
Must hold a CPA license – mandatory.
Must hold Tax Brevet A & B certifications – mandatory.
Strong and comprehensive expertise in Accounting, Taxation, and Corporate Finance.
Experience in the professional corporate services industry in Indonesia is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in corporate governance best practices.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire, delegate, and manage under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia (This is a 100% English-speaking role).
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with C-level executives at both local and regional levels.
