Job summary

Come2Indonesia, an Indonesia-based travel company, seeks a Financial Controller & Business Analyst to strengthen financial controls and profitability. You will review financial data, verify commissions, analyze profitability, and provide clear recommendations to management.

You will act as an independent control and analysis function across Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Management. You will collaborate with the CEO and senior management to review P&L, margins, costs, and revenue drivers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Indonesian citizen with a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in financial control, financial analysis, internal audit, FP&A, accounting, or business analysis.
• Strong understanding of Profit & Loss, margins, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly Profit & Loss statements, revenue, gross profit, margins, and operating expenses.
• Analyse financial performance and explain key variances to management.
• Compare actual results against budgets, targets, and previous periods.
• Review accounting records and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Conduct random checks of invoices, supplier payments, airline tickets, reimbursements, expenses, and other transactions.
• Identify unusual transactions, duplicate payments, inconsistencies, errors, or potential financial irregularities.
• Recommend and implement stronger internal financial controls.
• Ensure financial information reported to management is accurate and reliable.
• Review and verify monthly sales commission calculations.
• Reconcile sales team reports with Odoo and accounting records.
• Investigate discrepancies between reported sales, bookings, payments, and commissions.
• Ensure commissions align with approved policies.
• Support management in developing commission structures.
• Monitor sales performance against targets.

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Financial Controller & Business Analyst to work closely with the CEO and help strengthen the company's financial controls, profitability, and business performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys going beyond traditional accounting.

You will review financial and sales data, verify commissions, analyse profitability, identify potential risks or irregularities, and provide management with clear recommendations to improve the company's financial results. You will act as an independent financial control and analysis function, working across Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Review monthly Profit & Loss statements, revenue, gross profit, margins, and operating expenses.
• Analyse financial performance and explain key variances to management.

• Review business trends and highlight areas of financial concern or opportunity.
• Provide recommendations to increase gross profit and overall company profitability.
• Support management with financial scenarios and business decision-making.

Sales Targets & Business Performance

• Support the CEO and Sales Management in defining realistic sales targets.
• Analyse sales performance, revenue, gross profit, and margins.
• Review sales targets based on historical performance, seasonality, and company objectives.
• Help develop performance KPIs for the sales team.
• Identify underperformance and recommend corrective actions.

Management Reporting

Prepare clear and concise management reports covering areas such as:

• Revenue
• Gross Profit
• Gross Margin %
• Operating Expenses
• Net Profit
• Cash Position
• Profitability by Department / Product / Salesperson
• Cost-Saving Opportunities
• Financial Risks or Irregularities
• Key Business Recommendations

About you:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Indonesian citizen with a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Previous experience in financial control, financial analysis, internal audit, FP&A, accounting, or business analysis
• Strong understanding of Profit & Loss, margins, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems; experience with Odoo is a strong advantage
• Experience with reconciliations, internal controls, and financial reviews
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
• Able to identify inconsistencies and investigate their causes, comfortable questioning data and challenging assumptions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance managers
