A financial management organization based in Surabaya is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee budget preparation, financial reporting, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in finance, with strong leadership and analytical skills. Proficiency in accounting software and knowledge of Indonesian financial regulations are required. This role offers an opportunity to shape financial strategies and support management decisions.
Prepare, monitor, and review annual budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and
available resources.
Work closely with Superior to develop short-term and long-term financial plans and
strategies.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets,
income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyse financial data and provide insights on trends, financial performance, and areas for
improvement.
Present financial reports to the board, cluster finance manager and FD.
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal
entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in accordance with applicable
regulations and accounting standards.
Maintain and update the chart of accounts and ensure proper accounting controls are in
place.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and tax regulations as well as school policies related to
financial operations.
Coordinate external audits and ensure proper preparation of financial records for auditing
purposes.
Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard the assets and prevent fraud.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure there are sufficient funds to meet
operational needs and financial obligations.
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and advise leadership on cash management
strategies.
Conduct financial analysis and recommend improvements to optimize resource allocation and
Support senior management and the board in making informed financial decisions by providing
accurate and actionable financial data.
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting and finance staff, ensuring professional development
and adherence to internal policies.
Collaborate with various departments (e.g., administration, academic departments) to provide
financial guidance and support for their activities.
Train school staff on financial best practices, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, and/or other related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with at least 2 years in Managerial
role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Accurate, Sage, MS Excel).
Strong understanding of the Indonesia accounting principles (GAAP), financial regulations and
reporting requirements.
Having a tax brevet is preferred.
Strong analysis in financial data and able to interpret data to provide insights and solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities to manage a team.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
Able to communicate in English.
