Oliver James Consulting is partnering with a leading life insurance company in Asia to hire a Finance Manager for a major finance transformation initiative based in Indonesia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful change within a globally recognized insurer.

About the Role:

As Finance Manager, you will support a high-profile regional transformation aimed at streamlining financial reporting, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing alignment across finance, actuarial, and technology functions. You'll take ownership of key deliverables, working closely with local and regional teams across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead finance workstream activities across multiple business units.

  • Support financial process improvements, system integration, and regulatory reporting enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting and actuarial standards (including IFRS and local GAAP).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including actuaries, auditors, and senior leaders.

  • Review internal controls, financial statements, and risk mitigation strategies.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit-preferably in the insurance sector.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or actuarial qualification strongly preferred.

  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Hyperion, Moody's, and IFRS 17/4 is a plus.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Background in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous.
