About The Role
The Internship supports the Finance Intelligence Community (FIC) Core Team in Finance Intelligence programme. The role is responsible for substantive analytical work across the three phases of the FIC operating model — Diagnose, Design, and Deploy — including process classification, solution mapping, use case development and delivery tracking across Finance & Actuarial sub-functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Mapping & Classification
- Own and maintain the master list of processes performed across all Finance & Actuarial sub-functions.
- Facilitate classification sessions with Finance & Actuarial representatives and process owners.
- Produce before-after process flowcharts for the high priority processes per function milestone.
- Capture, document and version-control all session outputs and classification decisions.
- Escalate unresolved classifications or process ownership disputes to the Head of Finance Intelligence & Governance.
2. Solution Mapping & Business Case Development
- Map classified processes to solution types: VBA, RPA, BI / dashboards, SOP redesign, AI/ML, etc.
- Develop and maintain the automation solution catalogue — documenting all identified automation solutions with evidence.
- Prepare use case documentation for pilot use cases — including scope, baseline metrics, solution design, implementation effort and expected benefits.
- Present solution shortlists to Finance & Actuarial representatives for validation prior to Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”) approval.
3. Pilot Delivery Support
- Support pilot implementation: coordinate between FIC Core Team, Finance & Actuarial representatives and IT (if needed); track delivery against agreed scope and timeline.
- Monitor pilot adoption and document learnings for the automation solution catalogue.
- Prepare progress updates for SLT reporting and bi-weekly async updates.
4. Governance & Community Management
- Prepare draft Steering Committee presentation decks under the direction of the Head of FIG — formatting, table updates and chart maintenance (if any).
- Take minutes at Steering Committee sessions and Finance & Actuarial representatives syncs — distribute within 24 hours for review.
- Draft and format bi-weekly Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”) async update emails and progress summaries.
- Maintain the Key Deliverables Tracker — update milestone status, owner, and due dates after each session.
- Manage Finance & Actuarial representatives sync logistics — agenda preparation, attendance tracking and action item follow-up.
- Prepare Steering Committee presentation materials under the direction of the Head of FIG.
- Maintain the Community Roster, RACI Matrix and Governance Calendar workbooks.
- Track all programme milestones against the approved timeline and flag deviations early.
- Assist with any ad-hoc administrative tasks as directed by the FIC Core Team.
Qualifications
- Able to commit to 6 months full-time internship (WFO).
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics / Mathematics / Statistics / Information Technology or related field or having the study finalisation for those programmes.
- Relevant professional certification (Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Analyst, etc.) is an advantage but not required.
- Have experiences in data analysis field and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in process documentation, mapping or analysis.
