Job summary

We seek an experienced Finance Controller in Indonesia to drive monthly closings, tax compliance, and cost analytics, working closely with SSC and plant teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 3–5 years in accounting/finance, solid Indonesian tax knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Tax Brevet A & B is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controlling.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation (VAT, WHT, CIT).
• Experience in SSC environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Controller in monthly closing and reporting activities.
• Review P&L, reconciliations, and schedules to ensure accuracy.
• Assist cost monitoring and basic cost analysis to improve cost visibility.
• Support Indonesian tax compliance and coordinate audits (VAT, WHT, CIT, TP).
• Coordinate with SSC on accounting, reporting, and transactions.
• Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and authorities.
• Support internal controls and follow up on audit findings.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Controller in monthly financial closing and reporting activities.
• Review P&L, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support cost monitoring and basic cost analysis to assist in controlling operating expenses and improving cost visibility.
• Support Indonesian tax compliance and coordinate tax audits, including VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with the Shared Service Center (SSC) on accounting, reporting, and transactional matters.
• Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities under the guidance of the Finance Controller.
• Support internal control processes and follow up on audit findings, tax findings, and internal review points.
• Work closely with internal plant teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, HR) to support finance-related activities and discussions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; possession of Tax Brevet A & B is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or controlling roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or tax/accounting firm.
• Good understanding of Indonesian taxation (VAT, WHT, CIT); hands‑on experience in supporting or handling Indonesian tax audits is required.
• Experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment is preferred.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external parties.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a lean team environment.
• Able to work independently with appropriate guidance and supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
