About the role

Are you an experienced finance and tax professional looking to join a dynamic and growing shipping agency? LEGEND SHIPPING AGENCIES, a leading provider of shipping solutions, is seeking a talented Finance and Tax professional to join their team in Surabaya, Jawa Timur. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial and tax-related aspects of the company's operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Overseeing and managing all financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
2. Preparing and analysing financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making.
3. Ensuring the company's tax obligations are met, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
5. Implementing and maintaining financial controls and processes to mitigate risks.
6. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
7. Providing financial leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team.

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
2. Must be Fluent in ENGLISH & BAHASA INDONESIA.
3. 3+ years of relevant experience in finance and tax management, preferably in the shipping or logistics (NVOCC) industry.
4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance requirements.
5. Strong understanding with Indonesian Taxes (VAT) & Rules in Shipping / Forwarding industry.
6. Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
8. Proven track record of implementing financial controls and driving process improvements.
9. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Willing to be placed in Jakarta.
