Job summary

Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta invites an Engineering Assistant Manager to oversee department operations in line with Hyatt standards and brand expectations. You will assist the Director of Engineering to ensure efficient, economical operation and reliable service across the hotel’s engineering functions.

Candidates should have a technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, building management, and strong leadership, with experience in preventive maintenance and critical systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC, fire systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics.
• Minimum 2 years as team leader/supervisor or assistant manager.
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Job Description

**Description:**
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Engineering Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the Director of Engineering in ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

Qualifications

• Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
• Knowledge in preventive maintenance program and special projects will be valuable.
• Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Team leader/Supervisor, or Assistant Engineering Manager
• Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
