The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, strong analytical skills, and at least five years of experience in the manufacturing sector. This role involves budget preparation, compliance, as well as mentoring an accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Financial Manager or Accounting Manager.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting and month-end/year-end close process.

About the job Finance Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition specific to manufacturing
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Provide financial analysis and decision-making support for senior management
• Monitor and manage manufacturing costs and profitability
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in the manufacturing sector
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager, Accounting Manager, or similar role
• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Experience with ERP systems; experience with [specific ERP software] is a plus
  
• Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
