Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist General to support wireline operations across open hole and cased hole wells. The role covers operations, equipment maintenance, safety (HSE), leadership, and client relations on complex downhole jobs.

Responsibilities include running wireline logs, assembling tool strings, performing perforations, and ensuring data quality during the up-log. A STEM degree and field experience are preferred, with readiness for challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is preferred or equivalent knowledge & experience.
• Experience in Wireline Operations is required.
• Familiar with Radiation, Explosive, Winch Control.
• Competent in operating Pressure Control Equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ready for challenging environments and high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Logging Operations: running sensors into the wellbore to measure rock properties.
• Tool Assembly & Testing: assembling tool strings and performing pre-run checks.
• Perforation & Mechanical Services: executing perforations and setting plugs/packers.
• Data Acquisition: monitoring real-time data and troubleshooting signal issues.
• Crew Management: supervising operators and coordinating with client representatives.
• Reporting: compiling final logs and post-job reports.
