Job summary

Sulzer is seeking an early-career Field Service Engineer to install, configure, calibrate and repair rotating equipment at customer sites. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and provide on-site training to customer staff.

This role targets professionals who apply broad theory and can investigate problems with guidance from senior staff. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably with minimum 5 years experience working on repairing rotating equipment.
• Experience in the OEM will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of repair or overhaul of turbine generators.
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of installed, repaired or overhauled rotating equipment.
• Systematic trouble shooting, root cause analysis and rectification on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components and systems.
• Lead for start up and testing of new installations/erections or overhauled units of rotating equipment.
• Monitor field sequence activities based on scope and schedule and report to office.
• Ensure all findings and work are reported in writing.
• Work may be in shop or field service depending on project requests.
• Communicate with customer or third party on site as RES representative.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, HSE and company regulations.
