Job summary

Xapiens, a fiber optic network solutions provider, seeks a hands‑on Fiber Optic Engineer to build, maintain, test, and optimize fiber networks across Indonesia. You will perform installation, splicing, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and network documentation in challenging mining site environments.

Candidates must have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years' experience, strong knowledge of fiber optics, and proficiency with fusion splicers, OTDRs, and optical power

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of experience in Fiber Optic Engineering, Network Infrastructure, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technology, optical fibers, connector types, and fiber optic cable attenuation calculations.
• Hands-on experience using Fusion Splicers, OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers), and Optical Power Meters (OPM).
• Proven experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in mining site environments.
• Physically and mentally fit to work in demanding operational environments.
• Demonstrates high integrity, accountability, and responsibility.
• Preferably domiciled in East Kalimantan.
• Possession of K3 Working at Height Certification is an advantage.
• Certifications such as FOA (Fiber Optic Association) and CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) are highly preferred.
