Job description

Facilities and Building Assistant Manager

Fully responsible for infrastructure and building maintenance.

Ensure compliance with EHS (environment, health, and safety) standards across all buildings and infrastructure.

Lead all site building and infrastructure improvement projects, renovations, and refurbishments.

Extend the lifespan of civil structures and building assets.

Propose and implement best-in-class building management strategies and programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Plan and schedule all planned infrastructure maintenance activities.
  2. Advise businesses on measures to improve facility efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Handle emergencies as they arise.
  4. Ensure facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
  5. Forecast future facility needs and requirements.
  6. Issue work orders for all planned maintenance.
  7. Follow up on plant reliability checklist defects and conduct inspection quality checks.
  8. Plan and issue work orders for reliability defects.
  9. Perform quality inspections on completed work orders and close them upon completion.
  10. Produce weekly reports on preventive maintenance and infrastructure inspection checklist completion.
  11. Generate weekly reports on building and infrastructure abnormalities.
  12. Prepare monthly reports on work quality and inspection results for infrastructure and buildings.
  13. Coordinate and monitor progress and spending of site CAPEX projects.
  14. Hold regular CAPEX meetings to mitigate project risks.
  15. Execute all site renovation and refurbishment projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in building and facilities maintenance or project management.
  • Proficient in civil and structural quality inspection principles.
  • Proficient in electrical and wiring inspection principles.
  • Knowledge of building safety design principles.
  • Understanding of HVAC system design and principles.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
