A leading logistics company in Indonesia is seeking experienced freight forwarding professionals to join their team. The role involves managing shipments, ensuring compliance with dangerous goods legislation, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a deep understanding of seafreight operations, and the work environment fosters international collaboration and career growth.
Ensuring consignment and shipment are registered in EDI / Operational System.
Providing complete and necessary information to internal/external suppliers to arrange pickup with optimum efficiency.
Ensuring that if cargo is hazardous, systems and documents are correctly completed, and all stakeholders are advised of the hazardous nature.
Providing customers with pickup and delivery information and ensuring a speedy response to clients’ (internal/external) needs.
Sending booking confirmation to shippers/suppliers where required.
Ensuring all required documents are received from suppliers and, where necessary, scanned into EDI.
Expediting export customs clearance and security formalities (where required) in line with local legislative requirements.
Confirming shipped-on-board status and initiating tracking/tracing of cargo, reporting to stakeholders regarding any missing or delayed cargo.
Solving problems quickly and efficiently, while reporting discrepancies and customer complaints as SERs to prevent recurrence.
Liaising with suppliers (agents, carriers, overseas agents) regarding delays or issues, and keeping supervisors and colleagues informed as necessary.
Handling claims and cargo discrepancies according to prescribed procedures QP 300.
Ensuring customer and agent invoicing and financial processing (local, overseas, commissions) are completed within required timeframes and in accordance with company objectives.
Sending pre-alerts to overseas offices/agents in line with global business objectives (within 5 days of sailing).
Adhering to global process standards in daily work to deliver high-quality customer service.
Optimizing system usage daily to increase productivity and efficiency.
Complying with minimum quality management standards (currently ISO 9001:2008) and relevant regulatory requirements.
Adhering to company procedures regarding workplace health & safety.
