Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

As Executive Housekeeper, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Housekeeping department to provide exceptional products and services within brand standards. The duties include:

  • Having thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the resort, including room types, locations, and layouts.
  • Supporting the Resort Manager and focusing on rejuvenation of the rooms, public areas, and laundry experience.
  • Administering all housekeeping and laundry facilities, ensuring a secure environment for guests.
  • Ensuring policies, procedures, and best practices are in place and enforced.
  • Collaborating with Front Office, Guest Services, Reservations, and F&B to meet guest needs and oversee the smooth operation of the department.
  • Instilling a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
  • Ensuring legal, statutory, and financial compliance, along with safety protocols, reporting systems, contractual obligations, and budget controls for successful hotel operations.
Qualifications

To succeed as an Executive Housekeeper, I should have relevant qualifications, technical skills, and experience in luxury hotels, including:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with management experience and four years’ housekeeping experience, preferably in a similar-sized hotel.
  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel, or business management, with over five years’ experience in a similar operational role, preferred.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Indonesian citizenship.
