A leading company in the finance sector is looking for an Executive, Finance (GL) to oversee day-to-day operations within the General Ledger function. Responsibilities include bank reconciliation, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and a diploma in finance, along with experience in accounts payable. This role offers a chance to support a dynamic finance team in a growing organization.
As the Executive, Finance (GL), you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the General Ledger (GL) function. This includes bank accounts reconciliation, recording transactions on the CODA system and being responsible for agencies related matters. You will need to have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and have a thorough understanding of GL processes.
Job Description
Prepare bank accounts reconciliation on weekly and monthly basis
Record bank transactions and prepare monthly journal entries for monthly closing purposes
Preparation of monthly G&A journal entries
Maintain the fixed assets register, record updates, and prepare a balancing summary report.
Coordinate with agencies on banking related matters, including reconciliation and recording of agent’s transactions, maintain agency agreement as well as Banker’s Guarantee (BG) validity
Prepare audit schedules and assist in compiling year-end documentation for external audit purposes.
Prepare documentation related to the Director’s Declaration, including confirmations for bank accounts, petty cash, and Certificates of Residence/Domicile.
Assist the legal team in preparing / obtaining agency agreements and corporate secretarial documents (e.g. legalisation of documents)
Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Job Requirement
Diploma in Finance or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
