Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of food & beverage service is a plus.

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: RM3,500 – RM5,000 (depending on experience)

Working Days: 6 days/week (must be available on weekends & public holidays)

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Event Manager to lead and coordinate our catering events. You will be the key person managing client expectations, planning logistics, and ensuring smooth execution on the ground — from intimate private functions to large corporate and wedding events.

• Manage end-to-end event operations including planning, setup, execution, and teardown

• Coordinate with chefs, service crew, logistics and vendors to ensure event readiness

• Attend client meetings and site visits to understand expectations and layouts

• Lead the setup team and ensure timely delivery, presentation, and service standards

• Troubleshoot issues on-site and ensure excellent customer service throughout

• Prepare event reports and feedback for continuous improvement

• Monitor inventory, rental items, and event equipment

• Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in event management, catering, or hospitality

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Able to multitask, work under pressure and solve problems quickly

• Willing to work irregular hours (early mornings, late nights, weekends)

• Basic knowledge of food & beverage service is a plus

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Tamil is an added advantage)

• Possess own transport and valid license

• Competitive salary: RM3,500 – RM5,000 (depending on performance & experience)
