About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator Supervisor to join our dynamic technical team. In this role, you will support the Chief Estimator in preparing and reviewing vessel repair and docking cost estimates. You’ll liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, and shipyards to ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of project budgets, while also guiding junior estimators and coordinating with Fleet Superintendents during project planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge in marine engineering or vessel repair who is ready to step into a leadership role within the estimation function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for vessel docking and repair projects
  • Support in developing work scopes based on vessel condition, historical data, and class requirements
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and shipyards to gather competitive quotations
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Fleet Superintendents to evaluate subcontractor quotes
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing pre-docking documentation and cost reports
  • Supervision & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with Fleet Superintendents during the pre-docking and docking phases
  • Offer cost-related input during technical and project planning discussions
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation of all quotations, estimation files, and cost breakdowns
  • Support compliance with internal estimation systems and procedures
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in marine or shipyard estimation (preferably in maritime industry)
  • Sound knowledge of vessel systems, docking procedures, and class requirements
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience in working with suppliers, vendors, and shipyards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimation tools/software
  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field (preferred)
