Job description

Lead and supervise the estimation team in preparing cost estimates and tender proposals.

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy in pricing.

Approve and finalize cost estimates for submission.

Coordinate with design, procurement, contracts, and site teams for accurate data.

Review and negotiate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

Prepare bid strategies, risk assessments, and value engineering proposals.

Ensure timely submission of tenders and compliance with company standards.

Provide cost advice and support during project execution, variations, and claims.

Report estimation progress and results to senior management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).

Minimum 15 years of experience in estimation and quantity surveying within the civil construction industry.

Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering for large-scale civil engineering projects.

Familiarity with project risk assessment and value engineering.

Proficient in estimation software and tools, including Cubicost and MS Excel.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and local regulations.

Skilled in accurately interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Strong leadership and communication skills for coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering for large-scale civil engineering projects.

Capable of preparing and reviewing detailed cost reports and managing tender submissions to meet deadlines.
