Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking an electrical engineer in Jakarta to deliver design and execution of reliable power systems for hydropower and EPC projects. You will develop MV/LV layouts, prepare drawings and tender specs, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.

The role requires 4+ years in EPC hydropower, strong knowledge of AutoCAD/EPLAN, and experience with electrical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and related field.
• 4+ years in EPC projects and hydropower, HV 150-500kV.
• Experience with electrical design standards and coordination.

Responsibilities

About the Job:

Deliver electrical engineering solutions for hydropower and EPC projects through the design, analysis, and execution of reliable and compliant power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize MV/LV electrical power systems and equipment
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Support power plant, transmission, and distribution projects from tender to execution
• Conduct engineering studies, field surveys, and power system analysis
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities
• Work closely with suppliers and project stakeholders to deliver successful projects

Technical Skills (knowledge):

• Proven ability to develop Schematic drawings, Electrical Layout, Technical specification for electrical equipment and Electrical Calculation;
• Experience in project monitoring and coordination across multidisciplinary teams;
• Strong knowledge of electrical arrangement design principles (both theoretical and practical);
• In-depth understanding of power generation, transmission, transformation, and distribution systems, including associated equipment and materials;
• Familiarity with applicable electrical standards and regulations (AS/NZS, IEEE, IEC, SPLN, PUIL);
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), EPLAN and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
• Experience with BIM tools for integrated design workflows is highly desirable;
• Working knowledge of electrical analysis software for system studies and design validation
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to prepare clear technical documentation;
• Effective interpersonal and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively;
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability, adaptability, and attention to detail;
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in EPC Project and Hydropower plant project, including high-voltage applications (150-500kV)
