Job summary

PT Medco Power Energi Services (MPES) invites applications for an Environment Officer to join the HSESS team at MPES Sulut 1, North Sulawesi. You will support environmental programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold high environmental standards across plant operations.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Environmental or Chemical Engineering and 2+ years in industrial environmental management; 5 years preferred. On-site with potential cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 2+ years in environmental management in industrial operations; 5+ years preferred.
• Familiar with AMDAL, UKL-UPL, environmental permits, waste management, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of environmental management programs in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Monitor environmental performance and assist in achieving environmental objectives and targets.
• Coordinate environmental compliance activities with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Assist in environmental sampling, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Prepare, maintain, and organize environmental documents, including AMDAL, UKL-UPL, permits, reports, and other regulatory documentation.
• Maintain accurate environmental records, monitoring data, and documentation.
• Monitor hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including waste manifests and related documentation.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections and housekeeping assessments.
• Support environmental incident investigations by collecting relevant data and documentation.
• Participate in internal environmental assessments and audits.
• Assist the Environmental Supervisor in ensuring compliance with Indonesian environmental regulations and company standards.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Environment Officer to join our Health, Safety, Environment & Security System (HSESS) team. In this role, you will support the implementation of environmental management programs, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and contribute to maintaining the highest environmental standards across our power plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental management within industrial operations. Candidates with 5 years of relevant experience in the process industry are highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of power generation, petrochemical, or oil & gas operations.
• Familiar with Indonesian environmental regulations and international environmental management standards.
• Knowledge of AMDAL, UKL-UPL, environmental permits, waste management, and environmental monitoring.
• Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to be based at MPES Sulut 1, North Sulawesi.

Other Requirements:

Willing to be stationed on-site in remote PLTU operating area. (NO ROSTER)
