About the role

CHAMPOIL Indonesia is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance and Government Liaison Specialist to join our team in North Jakarta, Jakarta. This full-time position will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's environmental practices and initiatives align with government regulations and industry standards.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government agencies and regulatory bodies to stay informed of evolving environmental policies and compliance requirements.
2. Conduct comprehensive environmental audits and assessments to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement effective strategies and processes to ensure continuous environmental compliance.
4. Represent the company in discussions and negotiations with government officials and regulatory authorities.
5. Prepare and submit all required environmental reports, permits, and documentation in a timely manner.
6. Provide expert guidance and training to operational teams on environmental regulations and best practices.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and emerging environmental compliance standards.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental compliance or government liaison roles, preferably within the consulting or sustainability industry.
2. Thorough understanding of relevant environmental regulations, policies, and compliance requirements in Indonesia.
3. Proven track record of successfully navigating government bureaucracy and building strong relationships with regulatory authorities.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex environmental issues.
6. Proficiency in project management, report writing, and data analysis.
