English Teacher (English First Medan)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at ENGLISH FIRST in Medan, North Sumatra. This is a full-time position, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to our secondary school students.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered English language lessons that align with the curriculum
2. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their learning
3. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods
4. Maintain accurate student records and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
5. Participate in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills
6. Contribute to the overall success and growth of our English First Medan program

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in English, Education or a related field
2. Minimum 1 year of experience teaching English at the secondary school level
3. Strong command of the English language, both written and oral
4. Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
5. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
6. Creativity and enthusiasm for inspiring students to learn and grow
7. Collaborative spirit and willingness to work as part of a team
