Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English Literature or English Language.
  • Preferably expert speaker with English as their first language.
  • IGCSE or equivalent teaching experience preferred.
  • Experienced in teaching English (preferably English as First Language) for students in private or international school.
  • Experienced with International curriculum (Cambridge)
  • Proven track record of successful IGCSE English teaching and examination results
  • Experience in an International School environment would be a distinct advantage
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a recognized educational institution ideal
  • Proven ability to develop successful academic programs.
  • Possess English Teaching certificates
  • Native English Teachers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the IGCSE English syllabus.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources.
  • Set clear learning objectives and assess student progress regularly.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Compose lesson plans to successfully incorporate the full duration of each lesson.
  • Execute lessons efficiently using different styles of teaching depending on the content.
  • Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.
  • Instruct students about the structure and content of the English language.
  • Emphasize the rules of composition, grammar, and sentence construction.
  • Teach students the correct pronunciation of words.
