About the Role

As our Fullstack Engineer Team Lead, you'll play a critical role in shaping both our technology stack and team culture. You'll be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of features, guiding architecture decisions, and upholding high standards for security, scalability, and code quality while also being a key driver of agile practices and collaboration across function.

What you'll be doing

1. Lead and mentor a team of fullstack engineers, conducting regular code reviews, 1:1s, and technical check-ins.
2. Drive sprint planning, manage technical tasks during sprints, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
3. Work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to align engineering deliverables with product priorities.
4. Design and implement scalable frontend and backend solutions using Java frameworks (React.js, NextJS, NestJS).
5. Architect and maintain multi-tenant backend services with efficient database interactions (PostgreSQL preferred).
6. Build and optimize RESTful APIs and ensure real-time responsiveness where needed.
7. Oversee CI/CD workflows, deployment processes, and ensure infrastructure reliability using AWS and modern DevOps practices.
8. Drive best practices in security, performance, and software architecture.
9. Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on ownership, learning, and delivering impact.

What we'd love to have for the role

1. 4+ years of experience in fullstack development, with 1+ years in a technical leadership role.
2. Proficiency in React, Node.js, and frameworks like NextJS and NestJS.
3. Strong experience working with PostgreSQL and other SQL/NoSQL databases.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps workflows.
5. Proven experience in leading sprints, managing backlogs, and translating product requirements into clear technical tasks.
6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, especially when translating technical ideas to non-technical teams.
7. Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and enabling others to thrive.
