Savaya Group in Bali is seeking an Engineer to maintain venues, buildings, equipment, and building services across our Bali operations.
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems, and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe and reliable guest environments.

As part of the Engineering team at Savaya Group, you will help maintain the buildings, facilities, equipment, utilities, venues, restaurants, event spaces, and guest areas across our operations in Bali. You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Housekeeping, Landscaping, Guest Experience, Events, Security, and external contractors to support safe, reliable, and high-quality hospitality environments.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
You will help ensure that Savaya Group venues, facilities, equipment, and building services remain safe, functional, reliable, well-maintained, and ready for guests, team members, events, and daily operations. You will complete engineering and maintenance tasks before, during, and after service, events, and other venue activities.
You will carry out regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house areas, plant rooms, kitchens, restaurants, bars, offices, event spaces, outdoor facilities, and other operational areas. You will identify and report requirements relating to equipment condition, electrical systems, plumbing, water supply, drainage, air conditioning, refrigeration, lighting, ventilation, fire safety, structural condition, cleanliness, and general presentation.
You will support planned preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned tasks in accordance with engineering procedures, checklists, manufacturer recommendations, company standards, and applicable health and safety requirements. You will record completed work, outstanding issues, parts used, equipment condition, and follow-up requirements accurately.
You will assist with the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues, including electrical faults, plumbing leaks, blocked drains, lighting failures, air conditioning concerns, refrigeration problems, water pressure issues, equipment breakdowns, damaged fixtures, and other facility-related requirements. You will upscale complex, urgent, or high-risk issues to the relevant supervisor, manager, specialist, or authorised contractor.
You will help maintain electrical and lighting systems, distribution boards, power points, switches, fixtures, decorative lighting, emergency lighting, generators, and other electrical equipment where authorised and appropriately trained. You will follow isolation, testing, permit-to-work, lockout, and other safety procedures whenever required.
You will support the maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, water, drainage, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen, laundry, pump, and other building services equipment. You will complete basic checks, cleaning, adjustments, minor repairs, and operational tests within your level of training and authorisation.
You will inspect and maintain engineering tools, equipment, plant rooms, workshops, storage areas, spare parts, and maintenance materials. You will keep work areas clean and organised, store tools safely, monitor stock requirements, and report damaged equipment, missing items, or parts shortages promptly.
You will work closely with Operations, Housekeeping, Landscaping, Guest Experience, Events, Security, and other teams to coordinate maintenance activities around guest arrivals, service periods, events, venue changes, deliveries, and high-volume operations. You will communicate clearly when engineering work may affect guest movement, venue access, noise levels, utilities, equipment availability, or business operations.
You will support the safe preparation and operation of venues during events, including technical checks, equipment inspections, lighting requirements, power supply, temporary installations, weather preparation, event changeovers, and post-event maintenance activities.
You will assist with external contractors and service providers by coordinating access, explaining work requirements, monitoring activities, checking completed work, and ensuring that contractors follow site rules, safety procedures, security requirements, and operational instructions. You will report incomplete, unsafe, or unsatisfactory work to the relevant supervisor or manager.
You will follow venue procedures relating to engineering standards, preventive maintenance, health and safety, electrical safety, fire safety, chemical handling, environmental care, security, emergency situations, incident reporting, permits, restricted areas, and contractor management. You will report hazards, damage, unsafe conditions, equipment failures, water leaks, unusual noises, overheating, smoke, or other concerns promptly.
You will help reduce operational disruption by responding professionally and efficiently to urgent maintenance requests. Where appropriate, you will support temporary solutions, isolate affected equipment or areas, protect guests and team members, and provide clear updates to supervisors and relevant operational teams.
You will be expected to work flexibly according to operational requirements. This may include supporting busy service periods, weekends, public holidays, early morning starts, evening shifts, overnight maintenance, special events, emergency call-outs, wet-weather preparation, and post-event engineering activities.
